Where a smoothing underlayment tapers to the existing floor surface.

Filled Mix

An underlayment mixed with aggregate to achieve greater thickness/volume.

Flash Setting

The rapid setting of a smoothing underlayment. Often caused by applying too thinly on to an absorbent surface or at high temperatures.
